A few things to know

Before you book

Do I need pottery experience?

No experience is needed for our beginner workshops. We focus on handbuilding and ceramic painting, with guidance from an instructor. Open a workshop to see what you’ll make and how the session works.

What is included?

Your workshop includes the materials, tools, instruction, and firing described on its page. Most tickets are priced per person. Date Night covers 2 people, and Family Ornament Painting is priced per reservation.

When can I take my pieces home?

Your work stays with us for glazing and kiln firing. Most handbuilt pieces take about 4–5 weeks, and we email you when they’re ready. Bells & Bubbles, Cookies for Santa, and Family Ornament Painting receive priority holiday firing for pickup before Christmas. December Tea Light Houses will be ready in the new year. Check your workshop page for its specific timing.

Can children or teens join?

Age requirements vary by workshop and are listed on each booking page. For younger makers, explore our kids, tweens, and family workshops. Children at family events stay with a parent or caregiver.

Where is the studio, and what if my plans change?

Find us at 5031 Geary Blvd in San Francisco’s Inner Richmond. Please review the cancellation and rescheduling terms before purchasing. You can find the full policy and more answers in our workshop FAQs.
