The holidays can be a whirlwind, but finding a moment to unwind can be a gift in itself. Join us for a relaxing, hands-on pottery workshop where you’ll step away from the bustle and into a soothing, creative space. This 2-hour guided handbuilding session is designed to help you de-stress and reconnect with yourself through the meditative practice of working with clay.
Your instructor will be there to guide you through each step, ensuring you feel supported from start to finish. Together, we’ll explore the art of handbuilding that is both beginner-friendly and wonderfully freeing. Handbuilding allows you to let go, find your creative flow, and fully enjoy the process without pressure. It’s an ideal method for anyone looking to unwind and create something meaningful at their own pace.
You’ll have access to templates, molds, and carving tools to spark inspiration, and we’ll walk you through techniques that bring your unique ideas to life. Once your piece is complete, Studio Sumi will take care of all the bisque and glaze firings. We’ll also finish your creation with a glossy white glaze that enhances the beautiful speckles of our brown clay. Your piece will be ready for pickup in about 3-4 weeks, and you’ll receive an email with all the pickup details when it’s ready.
To truly de-stress from the holiday hustle and allow some creative flow, this event is BYOB!
