Custom Pet Water Bowls- April 11th

$75.00

Pawsitively Purrfect Creations

Is your pet tired of the same old bowl? Join us on Friday, April 11th, from 6:30–9pm, for a tail-wagging, whisker-twitching workshop where you'll handcraft a unique ceramic water or food bowl just for them. This beginner friendly class is the purrfect way to show your four-legged (or feathered) companion some love on National Pet Day.

In this 2.5hr class, you’ll:

  • Learn to slab-build your bowl using handbuilding techniques

  • Customize your piece with colored underglazes to add playful patterns or bold color

  • Carve your pet’s name, paw prints, or designs using sgraffito and surface carving tools

  • Add sculptural details like clay ears, whiskers, bones, or hearts for a personal touch

Your instructor, will guide you through each step of the process, offering demos, creative ideas, and one-on-one help to bring your vision to life—whether you’re aiming for adorable or hilarious.

Why handbuilding is the perfect place to start
Handbuilding is one of the most approachable and beginner-friendly ways to work with clay. There’s no need for a pottery wheel just your hands, a few simple tools, and a bit of imagination. It allows for more creative freedom and slower, intentional making. That means it’s ideal for learning, experimenting, and making something really one of a kind even if it’s your first time working with clay.

No experience needed, just bring your love for animals!
This is a great night out for pet parents, date nights, or anyone who wants to craft something meaningful and functional. If you have a favorite photo of your pet, bring it along for inspiration!

After Class
Once you've finished your bowl, we'll let it dry slowly and then take care of both firings and a clear glaze that makes it food-safe and water-tight. Your handmade piece will be ready for pickup in about 3–4 weeks.

All materials provided + BYOB
Aprons, tools, clay, and good vibes are all included. Feel free to bring a drink to sip on while you create. We’re all about keeping it playful, low-pressure, and joyfully messy.
