Craft your Own Animal Trinket Dish!
Get ready for a creative night of sculpting! Join us on Monday, April 21st, from 6:30-8:30pm at Studio Sumi to craft your very own cute and functional animal-shaped trinket dish.
In this fun and hands-on 2-hour workshop, you'll learn classic pottery handbuilding techniques to shape charming little dishes that are perfect for holding jewelry, keys, or other small treasures. We’ll guide you through molding clay into whimsical shapes like sweet animals or delicate flowers, helping you add playful, decorative accents to your creations.
After sculpting, you'll get to paint your pieces with vibrant colored glazes, making each one uniquely yours. The studio will handle all the firings, so you can simply focus on creating something special.
What to Expect:
Create 1-2 unique trinket dishes using handbuilding techniques.
Add sculptural elements like animal shapes or floral accents.
Choose your glaze colors to bring your pieces to life.
All materials are provided, including clay, tools, and aprons.

Instructor Bio:
Helen is a ceramicist in San Francisco. She picked it up as a hobby during the pandemic 3 years ago and has stuck with it since then. She loves making functional pieces and infusing their magic in every day life. You can find her and her frogs on Insta at @helenspots.

First Class
Please arrive about 5 minutes before the class begins to check in and find a seat.
Age Requirement
The classes are paced for and primarily booked with adults, but students 16+ can sign up with Guardian permission.
Cancellation Policy
To request a cancellation or refund, please email bri@sumiware.com. Refunds requested more than one week prior to the class date are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different class. Refunds requested within one week from the class date are 50% refundable. No refunds are given within 24hrs of the start of class. Should a class not fill sufficiently, it may be cancelled 24hrs prior to the class date and full refund will be issued to those enrolled. Thanks for understanding!
