In just two hours, you’ll unwind in our welcoming studio, learn hands-on pottery techniques, and create a custom ceramic piece that’s as unique as you are. Perfect for locals looking for something fun, creative, and totally different to start their week!
Led by Edita, an experienced instructor who has been a core part of Studio Sumi since last year, this workshop promises a fun and approachable learning experience. Known for her humor, expertise, and knack for making even beginners feel at ease, Edita will guide you step by step, ensuring you walk away feeling inspired and accomplished.
What You’ll Do
In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll:
Work with clay slabs to build and shape your design.
Use ready made templates to create functional or decorative forms.
Master pottery basics like scoring and slipping to attach pieces seamlessly.
Experiment with surface decoration, including carving and stamping to personalize your creation.
Whether you envision a mug, a bowl, or something totally unique, this workshop provides the skills and encouragement to bring your vision to life.
Once your piece is complete, you’ll select your glaze color, and our team will take care of the rest. We’ll carefully fire your pieces and hand-glaze your creation, ensuring it’s both microwave and dishwasher safe. In just 3-4 weeks, you’ll receive an email with pickup instructions, ready to enjoy and showcase your one-of-a-kind handmade creation.
