Mother's Day Paint & Sip- May 11th
Paint, Sip, and Celebrate Mom (or Yourself) 🥂✨
Come hang with us for a cozy morning of creativity and connection—with paintbrushes in hand and bubbles in your cup. Whether you’re celebrating your own mom, being celebrated, or just want to treat yourself to a little joy and creativity, you’re totally invited.
We’ll be decorating ceramic plates with colorful underglazes and carving fun designs into them using a technique called sgraffito (fancy name, super chill process). No experience needed—just bring your lovely self and get ready for a good time.
What You’ll Do:
• Paint & Carve – You’ll get a blank ceramic plate (8”) and we’ll guide you through painting it with underglazes and carving your design. Think florals, brunch themes, handwritten notes, or anything else that sparks joy.
• Pick a Glaze – Choose your glaze finish and we’ll take care of the rest. Your piece will be glazed, fired, and ready for pick-up in about 3–4 weeks.
What’s Included:
• Complimentary bubbles (yes, we’re pouring before noon and we love it)
• Tea and coffee station for your non-bubbly beverage need
• All the clay tools, paints, aprons, and guidance you need to make something special

Instructor Bio:
Helen is a ceramicist in San Francisco. She picked it up as a hobby during the pandemic 3 years ago and has stuck with it since then. She loves making functional pieces and infusing their magic in every day life. You can find her and her frogs on Insta at @helenspots.

First Class
Please arrive about 5 minutes before the class begins to check in and find a seat.
Age Requirement
The classes are paced for and primarily booked with adults, but students 16+ can sign up with Guardian permission.
Cancellation Policy
To request a cancellation or refund, please email bri@sumiware.com. Refunds requested more than one week prior to the class date are fully refundable or you can reschedule to a different class. Refunds requested within one week from the class date are 50% refundable. No refunds are given within 24hrs of the start of class. Should a class not fill sufficiently, it may be cancelled 24hrs prior to the class date and full refund will be issued to those enrolled. Thanks for understanding!
